Snapchat Geofilter Creations

Last Sunday my mate took me for a drive down to the ever-lovely Queenscliff on the Bellarine, we grabbed some raspberry drops at the sweet shop of course and went to the beach to enjoy the vista. I went to snap it but to my surprise no geofilter so I figured why not whip one up when I got back into town.  After 6 or so revisions this was the final design and within a few days, it was live on Snapchat.  I decided Eastern Beach was the next location on the board, here are 3 revisions featuring the promenade diving tower.  Thankfully, Phantom for Snapchat makes testing out filters in real use cases quite easy and I decided on option 3 as it has the least imposing gradient and most legible text.  Unfortunately, Snapchat didn't like this one so it's back to the drawing board. 

Transport for Victoria Logo Exploration

The State Government recently announced the establishment of Transport for Victoria, seeming just to be like the cool kids in London and Sydney the new body will oversee road, train, tram, bus, taxi, and freight operations in the state.  I figured this new body will of course need a logo so I threw together some mockups. Firstly modifying the existing PTV and VicRoads logos with the new acronym shoehorned in.  Obviously, neither of these will be the final logo rolled out but it is nice to see how the current design can be adapted. The PTV style logo still suffers from the same over symple design whilst the VicRoads one becomes quite balanced with the shorter wordmark.  Heading the path of something a bit more realistic I adapted the Brand Victoria style to this next logo.  This logo is likely similar to what we will end up with.
